Prominent groomer and stylist, Marvin Church is hailed as one of industry's most talented and passionate professionals. He is a visionary and consummate craftsman who lives by his creed of, “grooming is a lifestyle” and “personal image is everything.”

Also known as “Marv the Barb,” he has been practicing for the past 20 years, coast to coast while based in the heart of Washington DC. He has been sought out by DC’s top lawyers, politicians and power players as well as Hollywood’s leading celebrities, comedians and athletes. His uncompromising style and talent have led him to work numerous media events, movie sets, and television presentations such as the Espy’s Awards and the BET Honors.

Marvin’s impressive client list includes Wayne Brady, Stevie Wonder, Hill Harper, Darius McCray, Jay Z, Judge Greg Mathis, Chris Tucker, Lamman Rucker, Brad Pitt, D Nice, MC Lyte Joe Madison, Carlos Watson, Gordon Chambers, Tribe Called Quest, Michael Eric Dyson, Bobby Brown, NBA’s Javele McGee, Anthony Coley as well as an unending list of New York and Los Angeles’s top models. In 2004 he won Oster’s Golden Clippers Award. In 2007 Marv created an Educational video called “Subscribe to the Movement". Marvin’s passion and dedication in giving back to the hair industry has inspired him to become an Educator and Image Consultant. His platform artistry has influenced him to become an author and director of his first book of hair images called “Look Book”.
